Tartaric products for the wine industry

Main uses and applications

Randi Group is a supplier of tartaric products for the wine sector and for large and small wineries. Naturally present in grapes, natural tartaric products play a valuable role in the wine sector. As natural acidity correctors and adjuvants that assist the precipitation of tartar, they help offset an excessive thread of acidity, giving the wine balance, brilliance and the right organoleptic harmony. Of all the tartaric products in the wine industry, ethyl alcohol is widely used in the production of fortified wines: the addition of natural ethyl alcohol makes it possible to increase the alcoholic strength of liqueur wines (e.g. port, marsala, sherry...) and spirits. While in Italy ethyl alcohol can only be added during the creation of liqueurs and fortified wines, in some countries outside Europe (such as Australia and the United States), legislation also allows the use of ethyl alcohol to increase the alcoholic strength of standard wines.
