Tartaric products for the food industry

Main uses and applications

Randi Group’s natural tartaric products are widely used in the food industry. In the confectionery sector, they are in great demand for the industrial preparation of biscuits and snacks and as a leavening agent in baking and in the preparation of desserts. Ideal as an acidity corrector and a natural preservative for jams, juices and preserves, they are also used in processes to add effervescence to table water. Ethyl alcohol (approximately 96% ethanol with 4% water) is used to prevent food spoilage processes and is the only alcohol suitable for consumption in food. It is also used for the preparation of alcoholic beverages and fortified wines (alcohol from wine-related materials is the only kind that can be used for this purpose).
